The Stages Involved In Product Management Framework

By Thomas Green

Creating, building, and introducing products from their ideas are the wants of product managers of the company. They like to market ones that are useful to customers in their daily life activities. Hence, it is really useful for them to use and apply product management framework in successfully marketing their developed products.

They modified the standard framework multiple times until it was adaptable to the environmental operations of the company. The product life cycle had been integrated to their product management. The stages of introduction, maturity, growth, and decline are all planned, forecasted, and marketed through the help of the various departments.

Basically, there are three stages in product management. In order, they are innovation, designing, and implementation. All three have their own stages that must be completed before their product manager and his team can move on to the next stage.

All these are thanks to the capabilities of their product development department team of the company. They did their duties from its developing stage until its product launching. They are the ones who worked hard in order to have a new product added in their product line.

Innovation has to be done first. An idea that is feasible has to form first that can integrate well and contribute to the market. Options have to be explored to maximize potentiality. They also need to ensure that they can achieve a working condition for it. Product specifications, usage, and details need to be outlined as well.

Time was consumed and spent when they conducted the research. They gather and learn what they can which involves the movements in the consumer buying power, competition, and market activities. This determines which products are potentially useful to customers.

The next stage is designing. Here, they are able to immerse themselves in inspecting ingredients or parts that can be potentially needed later in the final product. They run experiments between them to know which ones work well together and which do not. This will ensure that the solution is potent and the equipment is running. This will define the newly designed product as it goes to its subsequent stage.

Building the product is the last stage here. The things they found from the designing stage will be used for the final product. Its efficiency and effectiveness are tested numerous times in order to ensure that it meets the quality standards. When it does, the other departments can now prepare for the product launching. They are going to implement marketing strategies as the product begins its life cycle.

Communicating with the upper management lets them present the product roadmap. It reaches on to the product development until its release. Once approved, they are now able to work with the different departments like marketing, sales, purchasing, and logistics for its execution. When it finally launches, they will analyze and study the market data. This lets them know and understand their feedback which will then be their basis for any product improvement and new development next time.
